Tyrannosaurus is a large and intimidating predator. An efficient and terrifying killing machine, Rex is capable of hunting large and dangerous prey, though its preferred food is large hadrosaurs. It can go toe to toe with the likes of triceratops if it needs to. Together in a pair, or alone, Tyrannosaurus should be feared and respected.
Rexes are highly intolerant of other apexes, even solo. They will be more cautious of paired apexes when solo. A pair fears nothing and will viciously defend their territory from most other carnivores. They may tolerate a single semi aquatic apex in their area as long as it stays in the water. However, more and the rexes will likely try to harass and bully it from the water's edge until they leave.
Females tend to be more dominant and aggressive than males and males will often act more cautious around females. A single male will often defer territory to a female and give her a respectful distance. Males will often lurk on the outskirts of a female's territory until she becomes receptive to courtship.
Courtship can vary, but oftentimes involves the males gifting the female food and showing submission. Sometimes courtship may involve the female and male hunting together to see how well they work. Should the female deem the male worthy, she will accept him, and will stay with him for life. Despite their aggression, they are very loyal to their mates. Rexes will often reaffirm their bond by calling and rubbing along each other. They are very protective of each other. They are also great parents and both share equal responsibility in rearing young. A pair is dangerous, but a pair with young is deadly. They will not tolerate most things in their territory when nesting.
