Herbivore Rules
- A herbivore may never hold meat chunks in its mouth for any reason. They should also not utilize critter burrows to any extent. Pachy is excluded from this rule.
- Herbivores cannot corpse guard at all. If a fellow herd mate dies, they must immediately walk away from the corpse and allow the hunters to eat from it. If due to natural causes, they can mourn for a short time.
- Herbivores that are being hunted can chase down and inevitably kill the attempted hunter. They cannot chase an unrealistic distance (i.e if LOS is lost, an herbie should start giving up if they cannot regain LOS within a couple of minutes). a When young are present in a herd, chasing and leaving them behind in pursuit of an aggressive carnivore is not realistic. Herbivores will naturally want to stay with and defend their young.
- If you feel as though your herd is being tracked by a carnivore individual or pack, aggression is allowed to escalate and chasing out the predator(s) is within your rights. Frequent sightings alongside stalking behavior (crouch hiding in bushes) can be considered as tracking. Hanging around the area and minding their own business is not.
- Symbiotic relationships are allowed between Struthiomimus/Camptosaurus and larger herbivores. Players entering these symbiotic relationships may not communicate help via text, and can only help by using the vocal/emote wheel to inform of danger. a This does not give an excuse to cuddle or act otherwise unrealistic b Be expected to train your symbiotic partners via your emotes; you may not tell them what emote means what
- If a carnivore individual or pack makes continuous attempts to hunt yourself or your herd, you are allowed to escalate your aggression and chase the carnivore(s) from the area.
