Do you hear the call? The deep drone of a Cow Eotriceratops. She travels with her band in tow, a Bull to protect herself, and her young traverse the land in search of a place safe for more to join them. It is time for a great migration and nesting. The cows grow restless with the need to settle down somewhere safe and nest. The Bulls grow agitated and brazen as they prepare for the rut. The time has come.
This Saturday, November 12th at 7 pm EST** please feel free to join the Arazoa team in a great Eotriceratops migration and nesting event. This event will begin in Cold Lake and move North-East to the nesting grounds in Stone Lake. Bands of Eos will gather together where food is plentiful. Bulls will fight for the rights to their cows, and new bands will be formed. Some old timers may have finally run out of luck, whereas newcomers can take the main stage and bring in a new line of generations. That is if they can beat the other bulls.
Please follow our profile for Eo which can be found in # Herbi-profiles or on our website at Arazoa.com. This is where you can find your grouping limits. We ask that people try to group up in bands before the event, but lone cows and bulls will be welcome to find a family of their own amongst the rut. Bands will stick to their own as Bulls bellow and sing to attract other cows, or fight off rivals that may be coming to steal his family.
Bulls will partake in rutting. Whether he already has a band or not, a potential suitor may approach another bull with his family. The bulls will meet, and begin threat displays. Showing their strength and power. If the male is undeterred they will begin to circle one another, calling more and mock charging. If this escalates, it will end in jousting. Bulls will charge at one another hoping to catch their enemy off guard. The first to have death scars will lose. The opposing bull may select cows from the herd to add to his. If there are any remaining they will stay with their former bull.
Though challenges are exciting, they can also be damaging for a bull's herd. If a bachelor approaches the band while the head bull is distracted, he may manage to lure or steal cows from him. Some bulls may return to their family to find themselves defeated, and empty-handed as his band has been stolen away. Bulls are encouraged to try and lure lone cows, or related females away to join him, though this might also come at a loss if her father or other suitors decide to fight you, or you're just not impressive enough for her.
Cows must know the route, and food and water stops along the way as well. Remember, Bulls are your protectors, but you are the guide. After the rut, the bands will travel together to the nesting ground. Females may fight over the best nesting spots to rear their young, but pls do not go below 50% health in any of these engagements. If you hit 50, you lost. Please accept this and find another nesting spot within the zone. There will be extra food and a water source nearby. Carnivores will be present. They will be looking for lone calves that either lose their mothers in the crowds or sneak away unaware of what might be lurking just beyond the treeline. The bolder carnivores may attempt to stir up the large herd. Calling, around or near the families to cause distraction and unrest. Mothers may hide their young in bushes only for them to be sniffed out by the enemy.

How?
Feel free to join us as your Eo. you may make a group beforehand with your friends (please refer to our website for band numbers) and then make your way to the rutting grounds. You may not end up nesting with the same people you arrived with, please be ready for this.
Who?

Guidelines for Event
➜ All Eotricertops within the nesting grounds can act as a unit, protecting up to 3 body lengths from the nesting zone from all trespassers. The nesting grounds will be marked by staff to indicate the clear boundaries of the zone.
a. If a fight leaves the marked boundaries, the whole herd can no longer aid and the individual or their grouped members being attacked should be the only ones engaged.
b. If a fight starts outside the nesting zone, and enters the nesting zone the entire herd may come to the aid of the attacked.
➜ Dropping an Adolescent or below body within the nesting zone does not offer body protection; the Eotrikes can corpse guard their young as they see fit inside the nesting zone. It is highly recommended to wait for mothers and their calves to wander off to get food.
a. Sub-Adult + bodies offer carnivores Body Protection, as the adults would prefer the body not attract more carnivores to the area.
➜ Realism is expected in this event. Cows will want to stay near the Bull of the herd, with some mothers needing to go find food for their calves. Groups may frequently split up due to this, with calves following their mothers towards food.
➜ During the entirety of the event, Bulls can challenge other Bulls for ownership of the herd. If you were unlucky during the initial impression of Cows, you’re still able to secure your spot in a herd by challenging other Bulls!
a. If you lose a challenge, you may not challenge the same Bull again for the duration of the event.
b. All challenges end at 50% health. If there is not an obvious winner, the Bulls can continue the fight to a newly agreed health % (nothing lower than 10%).
c. Leaving your current group and grouping with the challenger is the best way to ensure a fight goes smoothly, and to prevent unnecessary death.
d. Cows may choose to be loyal to their original Bull. They are within their rights to re-join with the losing bull.
➜ If you would like a gender change for your Eotrike, please place a ticket in #ticket-creation in our Discord. We require proof that you have an Eotrike on our server via Screensharing or Screenshots. If using screenshots, it must be clear you’re in the Arazoa server (feel free to ask an Admin to type in chat for this verification for your screenshot!).
a. We will stop taking these requests 1 hour before the event (so at 6 pm EST). You may not change your gender at any time during the event, either.
